Low cost ways to increase the performance of you airsoft weapon

So we all hear quite a lot about how you need to change your gearbox and get all this silly expensive internal upgrades for the same gain as just changing a few small parts and I will gradually talk about how it gets more expensive but let’s start on the basics. 
so some of the first upgrades that will improve the accuracy and distance of your weapon without breaking the bank would be as follows, so I would recommend and definitely start with the barrel and hop rubber these are typically the easiest parts you can change yourself and increase performance. So I changed the barrel to a tight bore and hop rubber to a maple leaf and I was getting around a 15-25 fps increase and I also found the BB was so much more accurate and cost less than £35 to do so definitely a place to start. 
now if you want to go up a bit to the next level then I’m definitely going to recommend a new hop/bucking unit as this will give you a better way at fine tuning the amount of hop you will be putting onto the BB. 

so let’s start talking about the big stuff that I would only recommend to do if you are competent in you ability to strip down a gear box now there is a selection of different things you can do when you go this deep into upgrading. So a high compression piston is always a must this will improve the amount of lost compression you get from a standard piston but do check the reviews on the weapons as some already have this. Now although you could change the spring I’m always going to say don’t because it’s possible to reach the limit without needing to do this as it put extra strain on the gearbox thus leading to poor reliability. 

so look into possibly putting in a Titan gate gear box which are developed to run a higher performance motor and have various other nice little upgrades in the gearbox. Now a MOSFET is definitely a must have on a weapon as this gives you the capability of changing the firing selection but can also save the gearbox as they typically have a safety cut out if there is an issue with the weapon.
